My Last Post on Ghost

I want to thank everyone who has followed me here on Ghost. I don't know if you had noticed already but I moved my Techuisite domain back to Medium. My amount of writing as gone down a lot here, not because my passion for writing has gone away,

My Supernote Experience

After trying out the Nomad and then the Manta, I have some thoughts. After dipping my toes into the world of epaper by embracing reMarkable tablets, it is hard not to notice another player in the epaper tablet world: Supernote. I remember seeing a video by Matt Gemmel years ago

reMarkable Paper Pro Move Review

The device that helped me embrace the world of digital notebooks. In my post For the Love of E-ink, I expressed my joy with eink and epaper tablets and why over the years they have become more important to me. As a way to escape blue light screens but

The iPhone Air

A review for a truly Apple iPhone; which is a good thing. I wrote about the iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro around October 2025 and after using both I realized that my iPhone 15 Pro Max was good enough to not need to upgrade. After a few weeks of

MacBook Pro Follow-Up

Vibe coding and tinkering with other gadgets has made me fall in love with the Mac again. Since writing about picking up a new-old MacBook Pro late last year, it has become an essential part of my computing life. The M1 Pro has been more than enough for my

For the Love of E-ink

My desire for e-ink technology has grown substantially over the years. It isn't a surprise that I have been interested in e-ink readers and tablets ever since I bought my first Kindle many years ago. But in the past this was mostly just a tool that

Buy an Old MacBook

Apple Silicon has truly made old MacBooks a steal. This is a bit of a surprise post, to be honest. After writing about (and defending) the iPad Pro for the past year—or longer—and arguing that you don’t truly need a Mac to get things done, I have

The Boox Palma Is Redundant

After a couple weeks, I realized I don’t need a phone-sized e-reader. The Boox Palma is beloved by many, and I get why. The device is very approachable and provides exactly what you expect; a great e-ink display in a phone size package. The hardware is

Using an Old and Jailbroken Kindle

Reading is important, but finding the right device is hard. For years I was invested not only in Kindle devices but also in the Amazon Kindle e‑book library. The ease of getting books and reading them seamlessly on a Kindle kept me locked in for years. Once Amazon bought

Sticking With My iPhone 15 Pro Max (for now)

After trying the iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro, I’m keeping what I have. This isn’t a post about me not upgrading or saying that I’m done upgrading to fight against materialism. I’m deciding to keep the iPhone 15 Pro Max because it’s the phone

My New-Old Laptop

After all of the iPad-only love, I also have a ThinkPad running Linux. I know on Techuisite I’ve been advocating for the iPad-only life for months, if not years now, but I’ve also made it clear the iPad isn’t for everyone or everything. I made

Trying Out Apple's New Products

A couple of iPhones and the new AirPods; most not really exciting with one huge (unexpected) highlight. So after talking about me moving to the Pixel 9a with GrapheneOS, and then writing about how I am not ready for GrapheneOS yet, I decided to not only go back to the

Why I Gave Up On GrapheneOS

After a month with the Pixel 9a, I am back to the iPhone. I am very critical of those who do reviews only after a week or a month of using a phone and trying to provide a thorough recommendation if a phone is good or not. You can also

My 2025 Geek's Everyday Carry

It has been a while since I have posted on Techuisite, and the longer I go, the harder it is to get started again. So I thought I would write something a bit more fun to get the juices flowing again. Not only is this an easy or more fun

My Desk Setup

A lot has changed, some has stayed the same. My desk at home has become more important over the past year. Not only have I turned it into a more productive setup for myself, but I also share it with my wife now, who works from home. So, not only

Boox Go 10.3 Review

My New Hyper-Focused Journaling and Writing Tool Since moving away from the Kindle and trying other e-ink devices like the Onyx Boox Go 7 and Kobo Libra Color, I’ve realized how vast the e-ink space really is. After watching countless reviews of various e-ink devices

Non-Kindle E-Readers

Turning the page on Amazon and Kindle to a new world of e-readers. Since Amazon announced that they would no longer allow users to download their Kindle books, I decided it was time to leave the ecosystem. I was already unhappy with other things Amazon was doing (really, what

The iPad Mini is a Problem

This is probably a me problem more than the iPad Mini, but let me explain. When I first got the iPad Mini 6, it became my everything device. Not only is it spectacular as a phone replacement device for when I am at home. But it has been the best

My Time With The Beats Studio Pro

They are almost perfect but have one crucial flaw. In the fall of 2024, the Beats Studio Pros went on sale and have since remained so. What are normally a sub-$350 pair of headphones, you can find for about half that price and sometimes even less, brand new. I

Going All Matte

All my devices now have matte screens and I also discuss the cases I use for each. Screen Protectors and cases on my devices has always been something I go back and forth on. I like to keep my devices as nice as possible, but I also don’t like
